You know what they say about never forgetting how to ride a bike? It’s a lie. I used to ride my bike everywhere I went. Once I got to high school and learned to drive, my bike sat in my parent’s garage and collected dust. Recently (10 years later) I rode it again, and I am [...]

I read a lot of blogs, but one of my favorites is Smitten Kitchen. Every time Deb posts a new recipe I can barely keep myself from drooling on my keyboard. What I wouldn’t give to lick the bowl! Isn’t her photography stunning? Top left: grilled eggplant and olive pizza Top right: chocolate yogurt snack [...]

I almost peed my pants when I found this Etsy shop—Royal Princess. I love that the veins are visible in each petal! My finger is going to be sad until [...]

Our laundry room needs help. I get the creeps every time I go in there. I won’t host many parties in the laundry room, but I need to fix it up a bit for my own sake! I will take pictures of the room before I begin beautifying, but for now a description will do. [...]

I love eyeballing sweet graphic design. It gives me a strange sensation in the pit of my stomach though—a sick feeling mixed with admiration—because I love it, but I wish I had created it! The Helios Design Labs website is one of my favorite places to peruse. Their work is an explosion of awesomeness.

If you have puke-inducing countertops that you can’t afford to replace, why not paint them? Painting isn’t a permanent solution, but it sure is better than looking at old outdated countertops, and if done correctly it can last for quite a while. I tried to follow a few tutorials I found online, but some things [...]
