Healthy and crispy! Try these instead of greasy potato chips.
1 bunch of kale
1 tablespoon olive oil
fresh ground black pepper
garlic salt
Preheat the oven to 330 degrees F. Wash and dry the kale, and tear it into pieces. Remove the thickest part of the stems, because these won’t get crispy. Toss the kale with olive oil in a bowl. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and arrange the kale on the pan. Season with black pepper and garlic salt. Go easy on the garlic salt—it goes a long way! Bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until the edges begin to brown and the kale is crispy. Keep one eye on the oven because it’s easy to burn these! Remove from baking sheet and place kale on paper towel to drain any excess oil. Dig in!

I’m trying to imagine how these taste but I’m having trouble :/
My granny grows loads of this stuff and I find it tough getting through it all, but this is such a great idea! It would be tasty with sweet potato chips and houmous… mmmm…
Kelly – It’s hard to describe how they taste. They have the texture and crunch of lays potato chips. The flavor of the kale changes a lot when you roast it. It loses the bitterness that raw kale has and becomes almost sweet/savory. It’s quite good!
Rebecca – These would be delicious with humous! I think I’ll have that for lunch tomorrow. : )
Your descriptions and photographs make everything look so yummy. I am definitely going to give it a try. I wonder if John will like it?
I’ve just made this recipe and it was delicious. The kale is very light and crispy. I’m always on the lookout for new ways of preparing healthy (whole) foods and this is the first kale recipe I’ve liked. Thank you!
I thought I commented on this before, but I’ve been using this for my 4-hour Body diet, and it is fantastic! My BF and I can’t get enough of it, what a great idea! :D
