All you mother-lovers don’t forget your moms on May 9th! Wit & Whistle Mother’s Day cards are in the shop now. I even designed a wit-free card for more traditional mothers. It’s printed on handmade paper embedded with wildflower seeds so she can plant it. What Mother wouldn’t love that?

We have 40 year old hardwood floors throughout our house, and they are incredibly squeaky and creaky. I collected audio of all the squeaks, and I made you a song. Listen to the Ballad of the Wood Floor A full album will be available on iTunes soon. (Sike.)

I intend to fill our walls with my own artwork, but I never seem to get around to it. These lovely prints would be the perfect fix for my bare walls. I especially love the letterpress zombie poster. Wouldn’t it be great in a bathroom? It would give my guests something to ponder, and I [...]

What do you think about aquariums? Every few years I get an aquarium craving, but once I do a little research and get an eyeful of plastic plants, fish poop, strange glowing lights, and messy cords I never follow through. These beauties at Aqua Forest Aquarium might finally convince me to take the plunge! I [...]

I wish my husband was like a big doll, and I could dress him however I please. Dolls don’t complain about “itchy” fabric or tight pants (aka pants that actually fit). Daniel is a shorts and a t-shirt guy—no matter the season or occasion. I just wish he had a pinch more style in his [...]

I love Jonathan Adler vases. Doesn’t everybody? I periodically check the Adler website to see if they are having a 75% off sale or something like that, but I’ve never had any luck. I can’t count how many times I’ve googled “affordable Adler vase look alike.” Finally my search is over, because I snatched up [...]

What do you do with your vacation photos? Mine from the past 5 years are stored on CDs, DVDs, and external hard drives—I haven’t printed a single one. How lame is that? I need to showcase them, so I’m going to design a coffee table book for each vacation. I’m picturing crisp white pages and [...]

A few weeks ago I decided not to keep desserts around the house anymore (well, mostly), and strange things have been happening. Instead of constantly craving sweets I am dying for healthy foods. In fact, a few nights ago I roasted kale for a midnight snack! Imagine my delight (I almost peed my pants!) when I [...]

I love military style blazers. Something about all those unnecessary buttons really tickles my fancy. If I had one I think I’d walk around saluting everyone. 1 Military Mac Jacket from Oasis 2 Vintage Bateau Top from J.Crew 3 Fabric Woven Hoop Earrings from Charlotte Russe 4 Tanya Skinny Jeans from Charlotte Russe 5 Metallic [...]

Happy Easter to you! We’re spending the weekend with friends, family and lots of yummy food. I’ll be back to blogging Tuesday! This recipe turned out quite good, although it did make my pee smell weird. Paper flowers won’t make me sneeze. This is the best thing you can do with your Easter peeps. I love [...]
