Can you believe it’s already time for holiday parties? Daniel’s office party is this Friday! I ended up finding the perfect little black dress to wear, but while I was shopping I couldn’t help admiring the latest looks by Ann Taylor Loft. Their stylists are so good at the whole layering thing!
I’m not a chicken pot pie connoisseur, but this recipe makes the best pot pie I’ve ever tasted. A turkey pot pie would be a great way to make use of post-Thanksgiving turkey leftovers, don’t you think? I’m heading to Wilmington to visit the in-laws. Happy Thanksgiving! 1 lb. chicken breasts, cubed 1 cup sliced carrots 1 cup frozen green [...]

Sometimes I regret that our backyard is completely wooded. I want to pack up and move every summer when swarms of insects crawl out of the trees to attempt (and often succeed) to enter our house. But then fall comes along with its gorgeous colors and makes me forget the horrors of summer.
One of my favorite things about cold weather is snuggling up in cozy pajamas with a mug of hot chocolate and a book before bed! 1 Stripe Dreamy Cotton Pant from J.Crew 2 The Sonnets and A Lover’s Complaint from Amazon 3 Women’s Waffle-Knit Henley from Old Navy 4 Sally Slipper from Fossil 5 Cat [...]
This week I adopted a maidenhair fern. They are one of my favorite plants, and this one is especially lovely. I haven’t found a planter worthy of its lush beauty, so I think I’m going to make my own out of an old vase. Hopefully my fern will be pleased!
