If you’re a flower hater don’t be mad, but I want to show you a few more of my spring blooms. I promise this will be my last flower post for a while (I can probably hold off for at least a few days). Just look how pretty my window boxes are! Unfortunately I didn’t think it through, and now I can’t open the windows without flattening the tulips (they’re casement windows and they crank out to open). I think the inconvenience is worth it though, don’t you?
If you want some window boxes of your own I recommend getting them here. Ours have held up very well over the past two years.
Please pretend not to notice how dirty our windows are!

It is always fun to look out the window and see something cheerful.
How could anyone hate flowers?! After seeing so many beautiful homes and buildings with flowers in each windowsill here in Switzerland, I wish it were that way all over the world. It’s such a simple touch that adds SO much! Your flowers are beautiful!
Flowers in every windowsill?! Yes please!
Oh look at your gorgeous cottage! So beautiful, and the flowers are gorgeous. Well worth not being able to open the windows.
Thanks PJ! :)
I agree, totally worth it! I like that site, I may have to get some boxes for our deck…if I can decide what to put in them! OH did you see the hanging bubble terrariums!? Super cool!
Yes, I love those terrariums! I always seem to kill terrariums by over watering them. I’ve had much better luck with the window boxes since they have holes in the bottom for drainage!
The fact that this comes right on the heels of my one week search for window boxes that I like tickles and delights me to no end!
What perfect timing! I hope you find the perfect boxes. :)
Love the flowers…so jealous…we are still getting snow in Maine :P I think I should try window boxes…we have a squirrel problem when I put plants out on the porch :)
I have been wanting window boxes forever and am about to get some. I’m so glad you mentioned that about the casement windows smashing the flowers, pretty obvious, but I’m sure I would have installed them in a way where I would have had the same problem if I hadn’t read this.
