Basement Bathroom Before & After

May 25th, 2011

The basement bathroom is done! It’s a tiny bathroom with a low ceiling, so I kept it simple and clutter free. The previous owners had installed way too many storage cabinets (even more than you can see in the before photos). It was so claustrophobic in there, and everything was grungy and gross. Now it feels like my bathroom instead of some creepy old person’s bathroom! Since I have my “poop” letterpress blocks in the guest bathroom, I decided that this one needed some “PP” on the wall.

More photos from the tiling process are here, and here is a closer look at my repurposed cabinet knobs.

  1. Is the second P from Urban? I love those!

Also – what exactly were they storing in a basement (presumably infrequently used) bathroom with all of those cabinets? Geez.

Yup! Both P’s are from Urban actually. I don’t know what they were storing! Maybe tons of pill bottles? They were old after all haha!

I love the clean lines of the ‘new’ bath and how bright and fresh it looks. Great job!

  4. This looks fabulous! I love the wall color. It all looks so clean and chic!

  5. Love the new colours and tiles and the pp is so cute, nothing like a bit of toilet humor!

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
