I Heart Old Movies

June 15th, 2011

Old movies are the best. My parents opted to forgo cable TV and raised my sister and I on a steady diet of classic films. I didn’t have daily access to cable TV until college, and I think I’m better off for it! I could never list all my favorites, but here’s a small sampling of my preferred oldies. Even the movie posters are charming! Have you seen any of these? Do you have any favorites?

  1. I was practically raised on old movies, and I think I’m better off for it, too. Love all of the above!

I love all of the above! :) and many more. Good choices!

  6. It Happened One Night is my favorite old movie. I love Clark Gable. I know he’s not the strong dreamy type like Bogey but he is the quirky one and I adore him!

  7. My husband is a filmmaker and he’s introduced me to dozens of movies I never might have found otherwise, but my favorite classic he showed me is Hitchcock’s “Rebecca.” Second to that (though not quite so old) is “Withnail and I” which is an amazing dark comedy.

Did you design your this website. It’s nice and I am looking for someone to help me with my own. Let me know if you are interested or know someone who you’d recommend.

    Thanks so much,
    Margaret

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
