Do you ever feel like your to-do list is so long that you might as well not do anything, because you’ll never make a dent in it? Today has been one of those days. I have a million things to do, so what did I do? I painted! Playing with watercolors is so relaxing. It’s [...]

Thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway! I loved reading your comments and helpful feedback. After an excruciatingly long round of Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe (I sang it aloud 49 times), I have determined the giveaway winners! Congratulations to Tess, Allison A. and Steph! I will email you shortly to get your jotter preferences and mailing [...]

I love using my cast iron skillet, and I love chocolate chip cookies, so I knew I couldn’t go wrong with this recipe. With 2 sticks of butter in there it’s probably not something you should eat all by yourself, but I’m pretty sure the healthiness of the whole wheat cancels out most of the [...]

Daniel and I finally saw Midnight in Paris over the weekend. We really enjoyed it! (Now Daniel is claiming that we’ve seen Paris and can cross it off our list of places to visit. HAH.) Rachel McAdams’ character was hateable, but I’m in love with the effortless yet charming shirtdresses she wore throughout the film. Have [...]

Here’s the final painting for my class! I think my favorite part is the honeycomb pattern in the background. I tried painting on wood for the first time, and I like it so much better than canvas. Canvas drives me crazy with it’s bumpy texture! Trying to get paint into each little crevice is so tedious. [...]

I had been wanting to get a juicer for awhile, and I finally went through with it. I have trouble deciding what to eat for lunch each day, so I was hoping to be able to throw a bunch of fruits and veggies in the juicer and drink my lunch. I made my first attempt [...]

Wednesday is the blog’s two year anniversary, so I decided that the layout needed some sprucing up. I’ve spent the last few weeks hacking away at PHP and CSS to make a brand new site, complete with multiple pages (unlike the old site). I like the new design so much better, and and I think [...]

When browsing for new recipes to try I’m usually drawn to the simple ones with fewer ingredients. This frozen yogurt recipe only calls for yogurt, blackberries, and sweetened condensed milk. The flavor is amazing, and it’s the perfect summer dessert (or lunch… ehem). 3 cups fresh blackberries 3 cups yogurt cheese (or greek yogurt) 1 [...]

Today I discovered this hair coloring tutorial from The Beauty Department. Oh. My. Gosh. I’m always uncertain about dying my hair, but I love this look. The best part is, if I got tired of having a “My Little Pony” mane I could easily cut it off. No harm done! Have you ever dyed your hair [...]
