The folks over at Southern Flourish Magazine asked me to come up with several kitchen related DIY projects for their next issue. One of them you’ve already seen, and I will share the other projects after they’ve been published. I was offered a full page ad in the magazine, so today I designed the first ever Wit & Whistle ad. I created plenty of ads at my old job, but I never enjoyed it this much! I think being both the client and the designer is the best possible situation, since I almost always agree with myself. Would any of my fellow graphic designers out there concur?

Oooh its beautiful!! =D Brilliant job! I love the canvas background you used too =)
Nice and simple. Always something I struggle with. I love your catch phrase, too. :O)
Beautiful job on your first w+w ad! It caught my attention super fast.
This looks great! Love the styling of the photo and the canvas background. Your color palette is beautiful too, as usual. Nice job!
I totally agree with you on being the client as well as the designer. Love the ad. Less is more! Congrats!
Just lovely!
Amanda, your blog is amazing :D I loved going through the pages and seeing your gorgeous photos. I want to try your recipes, too. Everything looks delicious!
I shall be back!
Thanks Iveth! I’m glad you are enjoying it, and I look forward to “seeing” you around here. :)
I’m so glad you guys like it. Hopefully it will seduce people into visiting my site bwahaha!
I’m sure it will! The ad looks great, everything fits together so nicely!
Love it! I especially love the texture of the canvas background you used. May I ask where you got it?
The background texture is a yard of cloth I bought from Jo-Ann Fabrics. I spread out the fabric, arranged my products on top, and took a photo!
I concur as well :)
Oh, wow – this is gorgeous! :) Charming and a tiny bit rustic and adorably whimsical. I love it. Added your blog to my list of daily reads! :) <3
