Would you believe I snapped these photos at the North Carolina State Fair? Not a ferris wheel in sight! We avoid the rides, games, and crowds like the plague. Instead we prefer to walk through the garden exhibits, visit the farm animals, and chat with the crafters at the Village of Yesteryear. I guess we’re just dorky like that. Is there a fair where you are?

Your photos are simply lovely. We love going to the fair so much that we got a monthly pass this year. We tend to stay away from the rides and visit all the exhibits instead.
Oh, that’s nice! Our fair is only in town for a few weeks every October.
Oh man! I’m in love with that beeswax/honeycomb picture!
I didn’t go to the fair this year. So thanks for the pics. I love the fuzzy finger cactus. Your candle pictures sparks a desire to burn candles. :)
So funny–my mom and I were just debating whether or not you were brave enough to go back to the fair! Guess we have our answer! Beautiful pics. Whenever you are ready to sell photography prints on your website I’m buying :-) .
Thanks chica! :) I went, but I sure as heck didn’t touch any goats!
Love that you can’t tell these are from the fair! I remember when you got E.Coli in college?!
Yes, ugh. Darn that petting zoo! I said it then, and I’ll say it now… hand sanitizer doesn’t work! Although, my doctor was convinced the outbreak was caused by the fair food and the petting zoo was just a convenient scapegoat (pun intended).
those pictures are awesome! the ones with the candles look like they should be from some Amish town :)
