I Heart Stationery

February 29th, 2012

This time last year author Charlotte Rivers asked me to submit some of my work for her latest book, I Heart Stationery. I sent her some photos, answered a few questions, and then forgot all about it. A few weeks ago I noticed that the book was available for pre-order on Amazon. My copy just arrived, and it’s so exciting to see Wit & Whistle featured in a real, live, honest-to-goodness book! Thanks Charlotte!

I Heart Stationery is filled with the work of many talented stationery designers that I’ve admired in the past, and it introduced me to tons of new favorites as well. If you love inspiration in the form of stationery, you can pick up a copy of I Heart Stationery right here.

I just have to tell you Amanda, that you blog and work really inspire me, and I hope that someday I can achieve some of the things you have.

  9. FANTASTIC! As someone who would like to start my own business some day, I’m absolutely thrilled at your success!

Question: Do you use an “aging” or “vintage” or instagram-like filter on your photos or is your lighting just always yellowish, glowing, loveliness?

I apply subtle Photoshop actions to my photos to get that warm look, and it helps that the natural light in our great room is somewhat magical. :)

This website has some great Photoshop actions: http://www.mcpactions.com/
