Gouache Practice #3

March 2nd, 2012

Yesterday I scheduled an appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed. It’s not for a few weeks, but I’m already feeling a little anxious. There’s nothing like a quiet afternoon of painting to help calm the butterflies in my stomach.

The more I play around with gouache, the more I like it!

gouache painting practice

  1. Ah, such a true bit of scripture – one of my favorites. You’ll come through it with flying colors.

  2. I love your gouache paintings (and your blog/shop) :)
What a nice verse to be reminded that there’s no need to worry.

  3. Oh, I like the quotation so much :)

  4. Michelle

good verse considering your anxiety ;) there’s nothing to worry about, you’ll be fine! :) If you need anything I’m only 2 min away when I’m not at work :)

    • Amanda (wit & whistle)

Daniel’s taking the week off to baby me, and I’ve already called dibs on the xbox. ;)

  5. sandra

you can do it! thanks so much for that wonderful verse and the fabulous artwork that goes along with it!

  6. Love it! Excited to see Gouache in your shop!

  7. I’ve never used Gouache but It seems like a nice mix between the transparency of water colors and the depths of acrylic. It looks good! I’ll have to try this medium out.

  8. Gouache looks like so much fun to use! I absolutely love your practice paintings so far and I’m excited to see it in your shop.

Such a wonderful verse too, that’s something I needed a reminder of tonight.

  9. What a wonderful little reminder! Love the painting. I had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Plus you get to sleep in bed all day! Good luck!

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
