Blooms & Buds

March 26th, 2012

I’m back! I’m not quite feeling 100% yet, but I’m back. I was hoping that after having my wisdom teeth removed last Monday I would spend the week tripping on pain killers and filling my sketchbook with all sorts of wonderful new stuff. It turns out that Percocet just makes me puke. My poor, poor husband. I don’t know if he’ll ever kiss me on the mouth again. On the bright side, my face has almost shrunken down to normal size and I finally finished reading Anna Karenin!

Apparently while I was hibernating under a pile of blankets and dogs last week, spring arrived in full force. Just look at all the springtime trimmings that greeted me when I finally staggered out into the sunlight this morning.

Glad you are improving. Many people have to take nausea suppressing meds along with the narcotic pain killers. Beautiful pictures!

When I had my wisdom teeth taken out, I tried to take an online quiz for one of my college classes while on the painkillers. I failed the quiz. At least you didn’t have to try to do something like that while puking. ;)

  6. these are beautiful! glad you are almost 100%! I remember when I had mine out, I was in a fog for a few days!

i know what you mean about the vomit-comet. i had that happen to me too. that is NO good when you have gauze packed in your jaws & are in pain… plus, eww.
i’m sorry… i fully commiserate & hope you feel better each day!

  10. Ah yes, I had my wisdom teeth out a year ago and found out that I have the same reaction to Percocet and to Vicodin. I have little memory of the first two days after the surgery, but my husband told me later that he not only had to hold the bowl while my stomach rebelled, but take he replacement bowl away from me because I was batting it around the bed like a cat and giggling. Then I tried to tickle him. Patient husbands are wonderful things. I hope you have a speedy recovery :)

Hahaha! It sounds like you were a lot of fun! I asked Daniel if I did anything funny, but he told me I was just like a zombie. A sick zombie. Boo!

Glad you have returned to the land of the living and was welcomed back with such a pretty sight! I had all of my wisdom teeth out at once, and even though I didn’t have a horrible recovery, it still wasn’t fun!

  12. I love this season. Beautiful photos!

  13. I do wisdom teeth extractions all the time and it weren’t for Doctor/patient confidentiality I could really share some funny stories :-)

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
