Aerie’s whimsical spring video showed up in my inbox yesterday and swept me off my feet. It doesn’t necessarily make me want to buy their clothing, but I do want to run around in a field with a huge balloon, build a blanket fort, and fly a kite!

I love Jenn Ski’s work. It’s the perfect blend of retro + modern. You know when you see something you like so much you feel sick inside because you wish you made it yourself? That’s how Jenn Ski’s illustrations make me feel. SIGH. Her blog is amazing too. You can purchase prints here.

We looked at a lot of new neighborhoods when we were house hunting last spring, but the bare treeless yards and the houses smooshed together like toes in 5″ heels just didn’t feel like home. So, we chose a house in an older neighborhood with a private wooded yard and a great forest view. We [...]

Buried in the depths of my hard drive I found a folder called “try not to pee.” It’s full of all sorts of crazy graphic design inspiration. Unfortunately I don’t have sources for some of these pieces. I must have collected them several years ago when I was still in design school. Here’s a peak [...]

My scanner is broken. So, here are some sketches from my “digital sketchbook” aka one of many doodle-filled Adobe Illustrator files. Have a lovely weekend!

The first time I saw a “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster it seemed like a great mantra to hang on your wall. Now that I’ve seen it a million times on a million different walls, I’m getting a little sick of it! However, I recently discovered that there is a history behind these posters [...]

This week I sketched some Halloween-y things. I love the ink + watercolor combination. I plan to experiment more with this in the future. I’ve never received a Halloween greeting card from anyone, but I figured I might as well print something up for the shop anyway (you know, for those card-sending fiends). So without further [...]
