I wanted to play an April Fool’s Day prank on you today, but I couldn’t think of anything good. Maybe I’ll get you next year. Instead here are some cool hues I’ve been admiring this week. Aren’t they lovely? They remind me of the Caribbean! Did you partake in any April Fool’s trickery today? 1 [...]

We spent Sunday afternoon at the park exploring the woods with our doggies. Long curly poodle/schnauzer fur is a magnet for anything and everything laying around on the forest floor. By the time we headed home the pups looked like they were wearing pants made of twigs, leaves, pine needles and dirt. I just wish some [...]

How about a little window shopping this lovely Friday afternoon? It shocks me how many splendiferous products are available on Etsy. Just when I think I’ve found all the good stuff a new batch of favorites presents itself! I broke out my thesaurus to come up with splendiferous. Sometimes I feel like I use the same [...]

I’m delighted every time I ship my products to places I’ve never been, because it’s like sending a piece of myself out to travel the world. To record my “travels” I got a metallic silver map, a bunch of map tacks, and a cork board. I pinned the map to the board, and marked each state, province, or [...]

Do you go through color phases? I do. Never ask what my favorite color is. It’s too confusing. In high school I wanted everything to be blue. My walls were blue, my bedding was blue, and even my wardrobe was blue. In college I was just a mess (come on, there’s only so much you can [...]

One can never have too many throw pillows, but Daniel (in his ignorance) thinks we reached that point a long time ago. He forbade me from getting any more pillows, but I found a loophole—pillow covers! We have lots of red pillows because I like to rotate them on the couches in the living room. [...]

Tomorrow we leave for Mexico! (¡Ojalá que puedo recordar el español que aprendí en la escuela!) Today I’m busy packing my boring brown luggage. After having several suitcases destroyed by airport employees (I think they get their job satisfaction by ripping off zipper pulls), I decided that it’s best to avoid becoming emotionally attached to one’s luggage. So [...]
