When browsing for new recipes to try I’m usually drawn to the simple ones with fewer ingredients. This frozen yogurt recipe only calls for yogurt, blackberries, and sweetened condensed milk. The flavor is amazing, and it’s the perfect summer dessert (or lunch… ehem).
3 cups fresh blackberries
3 cups yogurt cheese (or greek yogurt)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
In a blender (or food processor) puree the blackberries with the sweetened condensed milk. In a medium bowl mix the puree with the yogurt cheese. Pour the mixture into your ice-cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s directions or use Popsicle molds for fresh homemade popsicles.

That looks scrumptious. I am trying to figure out how I can do that with my diet restrictions. The photos make it look cool, refreshing and chic!
this is beautiful. yum!
I love the ice cream dish!
ME too! They are on sale at West Elm. The only bummer is that they aren’t dishwasher safe. http://tinyurl.com/6eujwme
This is such a great recipe! Reminds me of the great gelato I would get in Italy. Thanks!
Any chance you know how to make a dairy free version of this? I know that might be a silly question seeing as it is a Frozen YOGURT =) Never hurts to ask I guess…
I actually saw some dairy free yogurt at the grocery store last weekend! It was made with coconut milk. Maybe that would work for you?
Thanks! Any idea what could replace the condensed milk?
Nope! Maybe coconut milk?
Try frozen bananas and chill a can of coconut milk, then only use the white cream at the top. Add blackberries and whatever sweetener you like, and it’ll probably work. It won’t quite be the same, but it’s as close you’re going to get with dairy free.
