The “Jesus dyed for you! Happy Easter! is such a cute play on words. (dye/die)

Are you going to put an Easter egg next to it?

Hello, I’m a fan of your work and I’ve been a silent lurker for over a year now. I’ve been meaning to ask you something but I can’t get myself to click the Submit Comment button. It might sound stupid to you and your other readers but I’m really clueless :( How do you transfer your drawings to your computer and how do you edit them? I’ve been scanning my drawings or taking photos of them but I’m not sure how to make it look like it’s not from a sketchbook or paper. :( I hope you can help me. Thank you!

Thanks for becoming a vocal lurker! Comments help motivate me to blog, so I’m glad to hear from you. :) I scan my drawings in and convert them to vector art in Adobe Illustrator. There’s a tool in Illustrator called “live trace” that lets you do this. It converts all the dark ink to vector and removes little imperfections like light pencil lines and the texture of the paper. There are tons of live trace tutorials online if you do a web search. Hopefully that helps!
