Sketchbook 8.15.13

I’ve been busy designing new cards and a few other goodies for the shop. Here’s a bit of my sketchbook process. I can’t wait to reveal the finished products!

I love seeing inside your sketchbook! It’s so nice to have all the illustrations and doodles to look back on (I also keep a journal/sketchbook and was reading through an old one the other night…it was fun to see what I was thinking several months or years ago)!

I think these are my favorite posts – love to see what you’re sketching! Thanks for inspiring your fellow sketchers.. :)

Can’t wait for some new cards in the shop! I ordered the 6 mix and match a few months ago, and each one has been a hit. They are my favorite cards ever.

I love your sketches! I have a book full of sketches too, that I would love to turn into prints or cards, but I don’t know how to do it. Can you please tell me how you go about doing that? Any advice?

I just scan my drawings into my computer, clean them up in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, and print them out!

Every time I look at my “make something today even if it sucks” poster, I change the word “make” to “write.” So if you offer a write print, I guess I’ll have to upgrade and pass my make one on to a crafty pal!

I hadn’t planned on making that sketch available as a print, but now that you said that maybe I will! :)

I ended up not liking my Sharpie pens in the long run. They dry out so quickly compared to my favorite pens, which are the Pilot Precise V5 pens. I use them for all my pen and ink drawing/lettering.

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
