Sketching Nook

I always get a kick out of rearranging furniture, don’t you? Today I shuffled a few things around the house to make a sketching nook in one corner of my studio. I seldom sketch in there to avoid sitting at my desk for extended periods of time. Sitting upright with my feet on the floor (like a normal human being) is so uncomfortable to me for some reason. My preferred sketching posture is to curl up in a tiny ball (basically the fetal position) with my sketchbook on my lap. My desk chair is not ideal for this, but my cushiony arm chair is perfect. Now I have a comfy spot in my studio for sketching. Yesssss.

I love this! I am in the middle of a big move and seriously can not wait to have my own work space. So many of my ideas for my business and blog are on hold until I have the space in order to enact them. And I really love this idea! And, it’s so adorable too!!

I have admired your shop for some time now and stumbled upon your blog and I’m loving it! I want to learn more about lettering and your shop and blog have already been vital tools in doing so. thank you so much for sharing!

I got it from target.com a few years back. I’m not sure if they still carry it, but I totally love it.

I love that you gave us Oliver and Mabel’s eye view also. It looks cozy and inviting from any perspective. I can’t wait to try it out. :)

I just rearranged my office space to create a better sketching space, although not nearly as cozy as yours. Maybe I need to rearrange again haha?? Love it!

This is exactly how I love to sketch! Also, I love the colors in your interiors! And the armchair looks invitingly comfy! I really wish to have a comfortable and practical workspace, but my budget is really, really limited. But your posts inspire me a lot to be creative about it!
    Good luck Amanda!
