Iced Maple Chai

I love chai, but it’s so warm and spicy that I can’t bear to drink it in the spring and summer. I usually just stare at it forlornly in the cabinet and look forward to fall. Luckily my favorite local tea source, Tin Roof Teas, posted this iced chai recipe on facebook recently. I’ve been making it almost daily ever since. I never would have thought of putting maple syrup in tea, but it’s pretty genius.

By the way, these glass straws are the best.

This serving board is also the best.

2 tsp of your favorite loose leaf chai (steeped in 6oz boiling water for 5 minutes)
1 tsp maple syrup
2 oz milk (or use half milk, half cream to make it extra creamy)
1 glass of ice

Combine the chai, maple syrup and milk. Pour over ice. Guzzle!

Since I don’t think winter is ever going to end here in Wisconsin, I thought I would share my favorite tea latte recipe:

2 tsp. of your favorite loose leaf tea (something cinnamon-y or nutty works great)
    3/4 C. water
    3/4 C. unsweetened almond milk
    1 Tbsp. maple syrup
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch sea salt

Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Steep the tea for 5 min. then strain. Add tea back to pan along with the rest of the ingredients. Heat until warm then enjoy. Optional: froth the milk a bit.

Hi Amanda! I’m sorry I don’t talk to you enough. But don’t worry I’m still reading you ♡
I finally did’t open my blog. I have ao much things to do with my study, I’m afraid I don’t have enough time to do it like I would. But anytime I don’t have that much work I think about what would I made for the blog. I think about it all the time :/
Do tou think doing one post every two weeks its enough? I’m afraid one per 14 days would be boring for the readers :/
    Thank you for all.
    Keep the good work ♡♡

    Bisouus !!

Aww thanks Lully! I’ve heard a lot of bloggers say that consistency is more important than frequency when it comes to blogging. I don’t post every day, but I try to always post something new on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As long as you pick specific days each month and always blog on those days, I think posting twice a month is better than none at all! :) You could put a note in the sidebar of your blog letting your readers know what days to expect new posts, and suggest that they subscribe to your blog via email or RSS feed so they receive notifications when you post. That way they don’t have to keep checking back. I hope that helps! :)

I looooove Chai, just had the new Oprah chai from Sbucks, iced with soy to be exact. I will have to try the maple syrup as a sweetner. It would’ve never crossed my mind.

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
