My Very Own Fiddle Leaf

I’ve been crushing on fiddle leaf fig trees since 2011. So, it’s high time I added one to my houseplant collection! After a few months of keeping an eye out, I finally spotted the perfect little fiddle leaf. It just barely fit into my car.

I had to evict my split leaf philodendron to make room for the new addition. I love those beautiful split leaves, but I don’t have enough light for it so it just flops over and looks ridiculous. I threw it off the deck and into the woods behind our house (my usual method of disposing of unwanted house plants).

Out with the old…

In with the new!

I won’t be blogging next week—I need to take a little break from work before the holiday rush begins. However, I will be instagramming, so stay in touch with me over there next week!

I’m leaving my shop open, but all orders placed between now and October 12th will ship the week of October 13th. Thanks for your patience!

They are beautiful, but even more wonderful is your enthusiasm for plants. This is the kind of plant love I have hoped for over the years but to no avail. So, I shall continue to enjoy the your and other plant enthusiast passion and joy. Thank you.

It doesn’t sound like it. Bright filtered light and water it when the top 1″ of soil dries out. Hopefully I won’t kill it! ;)

Yup! I pushed all the mess out of the way, haha. I first check Lowes or Home Depot because they have the lowest prices. If I can’t find what I want I head to a local nursery, like Logan’s (in Raleigh) or The Garden Supply Center (in Cary).

It’s a vintage pot I found on ebay. If you search for “tripod planter” or “mid-century planter” over there you can find good stuff sometimes!

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
