Sketchbook Flip Through

I filled another sketchbook, yahoo! I loathed this sketchbook, and I’m glad to be done with it. It was a Reflexions brand sketchbook, and something about the paper inside did not interact well with my beloved Pilot Precise V5 pens. Whenever I tried to ink over a pencil sketch, my pen would permanently clog. I had to throw away tons of pens, and it was so frustrating. Why didn’t I just trash this sketchbook right away and get a new one, you ask? Because I didn’t even think about it until just now. I was too intent on filling it up, I guess. I hearby declare Canson sketchbooks to be my favorite, and I doubt I’ll ever stray again!

Your comments about your sketchbook made me chuckle. I have one too – not that brand – and I actually love mine. The thing I had to laugh about though was how intent you were to fill it. I love your flip through video too. I’m also “intent on filling” mine. I want to flip back through it too and see the way I change over the time span it takes to fill it – and my daughter (4 yrs) is such a little stinky pants to me about it because she always wants to draw in it with me. I finally gave in and let her – so it’s not just my work anymore – but this IS my life right now. I guess as I flip through I’ll see that too! Which is actually kind of sweet. I just keep telling myself that! :-) Love your work!

I love these flip throughs that you do. I’ve just started working more seriously on my drawing and illustration work and trying to make it into a little business – it’s so exciting seeing my sketch book fill up. Your work and business is such an inspiration to me :)

I love your comments more than I love chocolate (almost).
