Museum of Life and Science

Last week we took a field trip to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham. We spent most of our visit in the butterfly house, a 35-foot tall glass conservatory filled with butterflies and tropical plants. Late on a rainy weekday afternoon we had the whole place to ourselves, and it was a real treat.

Beautiful! Lovely flowers! I should get out to my local conservatory. Adelaide has the Bicentennial Conservatory located in the Botanic Gardens… locals call it ‘The Slug’ due to its unique shape..
